Laser Therapy

What is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy is the use of light emission from a low intensity laser diode (250 milliwatts or less) or an array of high intensity super luminous diodes (Class IV laser is >500 milliwatts). Conditions treated include musculoskeletal injuries, chronic and
degenerative conditions and wounds. The light source is placed in contact with the skin allowing the energy to penetrate tissue where it interacts with various intracellular biomolecules resulting in the restoration of normal cell morphology and function. This also enhances the body’s natural healing processes.
Our clinic has regular strength Class III laser as well as our newest Summus Medical Laser™ Class IV laser therapy.

The Benefits of Laser Therapy

The Summus Medical Laser™ Class IV Laser therapy is proven to biostimulate tissue repair and growth. During this painless treatment, the laser increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. But more importantly, this laser can stimulate ATP production, which fuels cell repair and regeneration.
